Yihuai Gao

Yihuai Gao is a first-year PhD student in Stanford’s Electrical Engineering department. He earned a BEng in EE and a BS in Math as secondary major at Tsinghua University. During his undergraduate study, he visited Prof. Dirk Englund’s group at MIT, working on enhancing the efficiency of diamond spin-photon interface and developing the imaging system for large-scale photoluminescence spectroscopy. In Stanford, he would like to explore more opportunities and develop technologies that may have an impact on the world. Outside of academics, he enjoys swimming, running and reading in his free time.
