Sungjun Eun

Sungjun Eun is an incoming PhD student in the Electrical Engineering department at Stanford. He earned his BS in Electrical & Computer Engineering at Seoul National University, where he studied nanophotonics and superconductors in Namkyoo Park’s group and Seungyong Hahn’s group, respectively. At Stanford, he is working with Jelena Vuckovic on integrated photonics, exploring novel material platforms to develop photonic devices like spatial light modulators. In the long run, he hopes to make a breakthrough in quantum computing, optical communication, and holography through integrated photonics engineering. Besides research, Sungjun enjoys playing table tennis and running.
