Adam Shaw studies quantum computing at the atomic scale, using lasers and magnetic fields to trap and manipulate the quantum state of individual atoms. At Stanford, he aims to better control the interaction between light and matter to realize long-sought goals in quantum networking, and answer fundamental questions in quantum information science. Adam's faculty supervisor is Jon Simon. He joined Q-FARM as a Bloch fellow in September 2024.
