The US-Japan Joint Seminar on Quantum Electronics and Laser Spectroscopy was established to promote research, development and collaboration between US and Japanese researchers. It has been held every three to four years since 1977 in the United States or in Japan. The last four Seminars were held in Kanazawa (2018), Madison (2015), Nara (2013), and Breckenridge (2006). Following the traditions of the Seminar, the conference presentations will be made by invited speakers from Japan and the United States as well as several speakers from other countries. The goal will be to advance research and future collaborations through open and active discussions among speakers and a selected audience of other attendees. The theme of US-Japan QELS-14 is “Emerging tools for quantum control of atoms, photons and electrons”. Topics will include atom arrays, quantum gas microscopy, molecules, precision measurement, quantum information, and quantum computation.
